BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee warned on Friday of obstacles to providing a favorable environment for foreign investment companies in Iraq, noting that all countries view Iraq as a huge investment opportunity, as the prime minister's visit to China came in order to bring investment to Iraq Projects and companies. Committee member Nada Shaker Jouda said in a press statement that "the visit of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to China came to participate in a huge industrial conference, where he went with a large number of personalities of the executive authority to open wider horizons in various fields with the Chinese side." She added that "China's economic development, has made Iraq go to it and not ditching towards the West, in order to open the door to more than one hand and free from pressure." She pointed out that "China proposed to Iraq to establish pending ways to eliminate traffic congestion, where all countries view Iraq as a very large investment opportunity, and seeks to get investment inside." She explained that "investment companies are often affected by aversion to the presence in Iraq because of the deadly routine and unfair laws that stand behind corrupt hands prevent the success of investment projects." "The personalities who have gone to China will work for each of them to conclude contracts commensurate with their needs and competence in the field they are targeting."[/size]
