BAGHDAD: The Iraqi Academic Syndicate on Thursday called on the government to resign.
A statement by the Syndicate received a copy of the "Euphrates News", "rejecting the manifestations of abuse of demonstrators from the holders of higher degrees and denounced the practices committed by the perpetrators of the dispersal of peaceful assembly of the protesters, the Iraqi Academic Syndicate holds the Iraqi government responsible for the violations against the representatives of this segment, who represent an Nationally, it cannot be overlooked under the weight of the inability and weakness of finding solutions to embrace these idle energies. "
The statement added: "Hence, the union calls on the government to resign because of insulting the Iraqi university degree and shed the dignity of the owners claiming their eligibility."
