    Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Wednesday updated the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations on the latest developments in Iraq and the region.

    A statement issued by the council of ministers received the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations ambassadors and officials working in Iraq from all countries of the world, and briefed them on the latest developments in Iraq and the region," said a statement issued by the council of ministers received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    He added, "Abdul Mahdi thanked the countries and governments for their support to Iraq in various circumstances, and to view the events, crises and major wars that iraq witnessed and the destruction and deprivation and impact on the state, society, economic development, the labor market and others, and produced a sagging state.     The statement quoted the Prime Minister as saying, on the demonstrations: We must recognize that 40 years of war and destruction have been reflected in our societal, political, service and economic situations, neglect and improper disbursement of funds and disruption to thousands of projects as a result of sabotage and corruption with increasing population growth One million people a year, and after the liberation of cities turned to services and reconstruction, we received from our people real and legitimate demands."

    The prime minister pointed out that "democratic regimes treat demonstrations as a constitutional right, and therefore must find a specialized force to maintain order, not riot control, and this single is rejected, a force trained to deal well and respect the right to demonstrate and human rights, not a military force, along with a series of projects and measures. Decisions to improve the country's political environment."

    According to a statement from his office, the prime minister listened to a number of questions and opinions during the meeting, which was attended by the interior and defense ministers.
