An Iraqi official disclosed the main reason for raising trade exchange with Iran to 20 billion dollars annually.
Iraqi Ambassador to Tehran Saad Jawad Qandil said in a press statement that "trade exchange between Iraq and Iran at present amounts to 12 billion dollars annually and there is an agreement between the two countries to enhance cooperation and raise the level of trade exchange from this figure to 20 billion dollars."
"In this case, Iran will be the first trade partner for Iraq, and some paragraphs have been specified to follow to contribute to this promotion and cooperation and raise the level of trade exchange, including the construction of border cities or free trade zones on the borders of the two countries, as well as inviting Iranian commercial companies to rebuild The areas free of terrorism, as well as the issue of zeroing the fees of features, which will improve the tourism sector and trade exchange between the two countries, are the most important agreements between the two countries to raise the level of trade exchange.
