(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Launched the Iraqi national project, headed by Jamal al-Dari, call for a comprehensive national conference to amend the Constitution.
The statement said the Iraqi National Project, received (Euphrates News) a copy of it, he "looks with great interest to call President Barham Saleh on the convening of a comprehensive national conference to consider the current constitution and review the state system and inter-relations between the authorities As a deserved and appropriate response to the just popular demands expressed by mass demonstrations. "
He added, "While the Iraqi national project supports the call of the President of the Republic on the review of the Constitution, it puts his vision of the subject through the following:
1 - The formation of a Secretariat includes personalities of academic competencies not belonging to any party or political organization and did not hold any administrative position as Director above.
2. The General Secretariat shall invite academic and legal competencies specialized in constitutions, regional, ethnic and tribal personalities, representatives of trade unions and popular committees, to set up a comprehensive national conference, conduct sessions, determine the agenda of discussions and priorities, and determine the relationship between the Secretariat and popular and political forces from outside.
3 - Call on the United Nations, the European Union, the Arab League, international legal unions and civil society organizations to assume control and help develop the process of amending the Constitution.
4 - Open the door to social and factional discussions at home and abroad on all axes and issues related to Al-Sedtour.
5. All media shall grant special times or spaces for these discussions.
6. Present the first draft of the amendments to the broad discussions among Iraqis.
