    The Ministry of Construction and Housing, that Iraq needs to build four million housing units to eliminate the housing crisis, noting that it has developed a 20-year plan to eliminate the housing crisis through the construction of 250 thousand housing units.
    The consultant of the Ministry of Construction, Ahmed Ismail, said in an interview published in the newspaper "morning", that the country is suffering a crisis in the housing sector, as there is a shortage of 4 million housing units across the country, which made the ministry needs to prepare the necessary plans to eliminate this crisis through Possible plans and programs.
    He pointed out that the ministry has prepared for this purpose a plan approved by the Minister of Construction and Housing and municipalities two banks Rikani includes the establishment of 250 thousand housing units annually during the next 20 years in the form of residential compounds, pointing out that the ministry can implement this plan only with the participation of the relevant authorities, including the two sectors Government and private as well as investment.
    The adviser noted that the ministry invited all foreign and local construction companies in order to build low-cost housing units, as they presented modern construction models currently being studied and expressed their readiness to implement other projects in the field of housing, stressing that the ministry also invited these companies to participate in the implementation of the said plan and the establishment of 100,000 housing units annually.
    Ismail pointed out that the ministry also invited ready-made construction companies, whether governmental or private, to establish 50,000 units within the said project, in addition to committing eight companies affiliated to the ministry, namely Saad, Mansour, Farouk, Assyria and Hammurabi, as well as FAO, Rashid and Mu'tasim in order to establish 50,000 housing units distributed among them. As well as coordination with investment companies to establish the rest of the plan, as the involvement of all sectors involved in the implementation of the housing plan contributes to completion within the determinants
     Time.
    He explained that the ministry is coordinating with all parties in order to create the requirements of the project in order to ensure the continuation of the work in an optimal manner, especially as it includes committing companies to all the work and services necessary for the units. In addition to preparing the necessary legislation and laws in the field of housing and services in order to create their own land in Baghdad and all provinces.
