"The United States is deeply concerned about the continuing attacks against demonstrators, civilian activists and the media, as well as restrictions on Internet access in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] " the White House said in a statement .
"The Iraqis will not stand unanswered as they see the Iranian regime draining their resources and using armed groups and their political allies to prevent them from expressing their views peacefully," the statement claimed.
"The United States joins the United Nations Assistance Mission in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in calling on the Iraqi government to stop violence against demonstrators and fulfill President Saleh's promise to pass electoral reform and early elections," the statement said, calling on the international community to "join us in supporting a better future for the Iraqi people." .
