The deputy for the network component Qusay Abbas network, Monday, that the delay in the vote on the election law of the House of Representatives is not in favor of political blocs, pointing out that the large blocs will be affected by this law, while minorities will remain one seat in the current or new law.
"The election law of the House of Representatives has been transferred from the government to the parliamentary legal committee, and this law will see objections by some large parties, where it does not comply with their requirements and will get a change," Shabaki said in a statement.
He added that "the election law of the House of Representatives does not live up to the requirements of the masses, because most of the public opinion in the arena of demonstrations supports individual candidacy and multiple constituencies in order to have a genuine representation of the components in the House of Representatives."
He pointed out that "the Iraqi minorities were not affected in the new law, where granted one seat for each component of minorities, and therefore that the change of law or survival will not change anything in the representation of minorities."
He explained that "the ball in the court of the House of Representatives in relation to the new law, and not in favor of political blocs to delay the passage of this law, because procrastination is not in their favor, and there will be consequences of this delay." Finished 25 N
