Shafaq News / An informed political source revealed early on Saturday that a semi-final agreement took place on sovereign Ministries in the government of Prime Minister-designate, Haider Abadi among the blocs of the National Alliance , Kurdistan Alliance and National forces coalition.

The source told “Shafaq News" that "the agreement included the National Alliance getting the Ministries of Defense, Foreign affairs and Finance, while Kurdistan Alliance get the Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of the Interior for the national forces coalition."

The source said, " the only remaining thing is convincing the Kurds with the Ministry of oil as the negotiations are still in progress with them in this context," noting that "the National Alliance did not agree until now on the distribution of the sovereign ministries to the blocs."

Prime Minister-designate , Haider Abadi demanded all the political blocs to expedite submission of names of candidates for the portfolios in his new government, which seeks to be formed according to the principle of national partnership.

Abadi has only a few days to the end of his government to gain the confidence of Parliament in accordance with the specific constitutional duration which is 30 days that ends on the ninth of next September.
