Today, Saturday, the Medical Association in Iraq called on doctors to close private clinics and private hospitals, "except for critical cases," next Monday, in protest against the assassination of a cardiologist in Diyala province, Dr. Ahmed Talal Al-Madfai.
The Syndicate stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "in light of the treacherous attack that affected one of the scientific and medical figures in Iraq, the martyr Dr.
1- Standing to read a statement denouncing the crime and a minute of silence while reciting Surat Al-Fatihah on the soul of the murdered martyr and on all the souls of the martyrs who joined their innocence, at exactly ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, corresponding to 27/2/2023, at their place of work in hospitals
2- Closing private doctors’ clinics and private hospitals (except for emergency cases) throughout Iraq on Monday, corresponding to 2/27/2023.
And the Syndicate added in its statement, "The Iraqi Medical Syndicate, while carrying out this procedure, calls on the executive and judicial authorities to expedite the arrest of the perpetrators and impose a fair punishment on them."
