    Baghdad today - Baghdad
The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, said today, Tuesday (July 18, 2023), that former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi "was not the prime minister of the Sadrist movement, and that the coordination framework strongly supported his candidacy more than others."
Al-Maliki said in a televised statement followed by "Baghdad Today": There is no force affected by the disagreement with the Sadrist movement, the meeting and the dialogue, and there is no objection to the entry of the movement and its return to the political process.
He promised to "encroach" on the headquarters of his party (the Islamic Call) as "classified as terrorism" and that the condemnation of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, was "a good thing," revealing that "the Ministry of Interior arrested two of the attackers on the headquarters of the call."
Regarding Iranian gas supplied to power plants in Iraq, Al-Maliki stressed that: "Iraq does not have an immediate solution to the issue of gas, except for the use of Iranian gas."
He accused "the US government of using the dollar politically to put pressure on Iraq and Iran" to pay gas dues.
