    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:

A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Nermin Maarouf, confirmed that the imposition of US sanctions on some banks harms the reputation of the Iraqi banking system. Maarouf said in a press interview, "Iraq, as a central body, owns 76 government and private banks, and the largest presence of these banks is private, including commercial banks and economic banks."[/rtl]
[rtl] And she added, "The sanctions on banks will affect the value of the Iraqi dinar and its exchange rate against the dollar." And she pointed out, "The rises in the exchange of the dollar are a relapse and the reaction of some dealers who are affected by pessimistic expectations to some extent about the future value of the dinar." [/rtl]
[rtl]Maarouf confirmed, “The central bank's procedures for selling dollars and those offered by them did not make any changes to them. We do not believe that these sanctions will affect the exchange rate of the dinar against the dollar, and it is related to not allowing these banks to deal in dollars or participate in the so-called electronic platform to buy dollars.” ".[/rtl]
