    Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, affirmed Iraq's keenness to seek the assistance of Japanese expertise in various fields, especially in the field of energy, construction, infrastructure, training and rehabilitation.
    The media office of the head of the State of Law coalition stated that Al-Maliki received in his office the Ambassador of Japan to Iraq, Futoshi Matsumoto, and during the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and issues of common concern, and developments in the political and security situation in the country were also discussed.
    Al-Maliki stressed Iraq's keenness to use Japanese expertise in various fields, especially in the field of energy, construction, infrastructure, training and rehabilitation, calling on Japanese companies to enter the Iraqi market in the field of investment.
    For his part, the Japanese ambassador affirmed the desire of his country and the major Japanese companies in it to enhance joint cooperation and expand exchange with Iraq in various fields, calling for addressing the problems that hinder the work of Japanese companies operating in Iraq.
