The Presidency of the Republic issued a statement denying the existence of violations that were circulated on social media in documents attributed to it, and affirmed the prosecution of everyone who fabricated and promoted the published documents. The text of the statement follows: “Social media circulated documents attributed
to the Presidency of the Republic that indicate the existence of legal violations and administrative and financial corruption. The Presidency of the Republic confirms that the distortion of these documents in a fabricated manner is behind people who want to harm the reputation of the state and the dignity of the Presidency of the Republic. Hence, we
announce that the doors of the Presidency of the Republic are open to the investigative authorities concerned with combating administrative and financial corruption, and everyone who claimed and fabricated the published documents and promoted them will be prosecuted, and we call on the media. "And bloggers on social media must be careful in circulating and transmitting information and documents. Spreading false news and forged documents is an act punishable by law."
