The Associated Press revealed at dawn today, Tuesday (October 17, 2023), that US President Joe Biden made a phone call with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, after what it described as an “important meeting” that Biden held with his advisors in the presence of American officials late on Monday evening. .

She continued, "Biden called Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, in addition to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and German Chancellor Olaf Schulz," explaining that the emergency meeting held in the Oval Office and Biden's subsequent contacts with the three presidents related to "developments in the situation in Gaza."
The agency also confirmed that Biden’s call with Sudanese came against the backdrop of “the White House’s great concern that the current crisis in the Gaza Strip between Hamas and Israel will lead to a massive destabilization of the security and stability of the region and its expansion into a regional conflict,” as it described it, noting that the last hours witnessed “Major developments” revealed to Biden during the last meeting.
