The US State Department announced that its forces will continue their missions in Iraq, noting that America is taking all necessary measures to protect its forces and interests in the region.
In response to a journalist's question, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said, “Our forces will continue to be present in Iraq to prevent the re-emergence of ISIS, which is the priority task for America and the countries of the region in the fight against it."
Miller added: “President (Biden) made clear that we will take all necessary measures to protect American forces and American interests everywhere in this world.”[/rtl]
