the Ministry of Commerce intends to hold a conference for the Iraqi private sector in the United States of America early next year. The ministry’s official spokesman, Muthanna Jabbar, told “Al-Sabah”: The Ministry’s Foreign Economic Relations Department is working to hold a conference for the Iraqi private sector in Washington early next year, with the aim of enabling it to obtain agencies from American companies, as well as increasing the volume of trade exchange between them. Daadoush considered organizing internal procedures the beginning to attract all international agencies, adding that increasing trade exchange requires a production base that meets local demand and then exports the surplus abroad. He pointed out that Iraq has not really moved to diversify exports yet, wondering how Iraq is working to increase trade exchange with the United States when it only exports crude oil, and some of its products have decreased significantly over the past month?
