    [size=45]The Ministry said in a statement, “In confirmation of the government’s approach to continuing the financial and economic reform package, including the customs sector, the Ministry is adopting a clear action plan to address weaknesses within the sector as a result of the delay in introducing modern technology in accordance with international standards in the work of the Customs Authority.”[/size]
    [size=45]The Ministry added that it has included within its work plan the reform and modernization of customs performance methods in partnership and cooperation with international organizations in accordance with solid international systems, including the global ASYCUDA system, which was recently implemented at the Umm Qasr Port Customs Centre, stressing its continued implementation of the system in all ports and customs centers (land, sea and air).
