Shafaq News/ On Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani consoled the Iranian President for the killing of military leaders in the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria, warning of a “dangerous slide” in the region.
This came during a call the Sudanese had with the Iranian President, according to an Iraqi government statement.
Al-Sudani also stressed that "the continuation of the aggression against Gaza will lead the region and its security to dangerous slides," calling at the same time "the international community to assume its responsibilities in protecting the Palestinian people and preventing the conflict from spreading throughout the region."
At five o'clock last Monday evening, the Iranian consulate building in Damascus was subjected to Israeli air strikes, leaving dead and wounded, according to the Syrian Ministry of Information, which accused Israel of "launching an air aggression from the direction of the occupied Golan."
Meanwhile, the Iranian ambassador to Syria said that F-35 planes carried out the attack on the consulate building.
The attack resulted in the killing of seven members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, according to its latest statistics, including the prominent leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, while Iranian state television announced that “the Israeli raid on the consulate building in Damascus was aimed at assassinating the senior commander of the Quds Force, Mohammad.” Reza Zahedi.
