20 ISIS militants killed by USAF in southwest of Kirkuk

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a security source in Kirkuk stated that 20 militants belonged to the ISIS group have been killed in an air strike against their shelters in southwest of the province.

The source informed IraqiNews, “U.S. warplanes conducted an air strike targeting ISIS shelter in al-Hawija and al-Riyad, located 55 km southwest of Kirkuk. The operation resulted in killing 20 ISIS militants and destroying their locations.”

“The air strike targeted 7 ISIS checkpoints and destroyed a number of armored vehicles which ISIS has seized previously from the Iraqi Army” said the source.
