    of the Finance Committee, suggested that the Finance Committee Deputy
    member/iraqiya Hassan aozmn Al-Bayati, an independent supreme body
    responsible for organizing and monitoring the work of local banks with
    branches, to support and develop its work.

    He said Al-Bayati
    (News Agency): the Central Bank of Iraq bears the burden of large
    currency through maintaining stability of the national currency and the
    sale of foreign currency on domestic market control Basra, as well as
    the regulation and supervision of the banking sector.

    He added:
    the great banking and his importance in the strengthening and
    development of development in all countries of the world, must take care
    of him by setting up a special body to work under the name of "high
    authority to regulate and control the banks" exists as in most civilized
    and developed States.

    The work includes the issuance of
    regulations, directives and monitor banking and financial transfers in
    inside and outside the country to develop the Iraqi banking sector and
    bring it up to date with developments in world banking.

    The
    banking system in Iraq consists of forty-three banks as well as the
    Central Bank and distributed by property (7) and banks (30) my family
    including Bank (7) in addition to Islamic banks (6) foreign banks/the
    importance of forming a supreme body to regulate and control the work of
    banks in the country
