(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Iraqi Council of Representatives announced on Saturday that it would send more security forces to Anbar province, in addition to arming local tribal fighters and al-Hashd al-Sha’bi militia, as well as the cancellation of demanding a guarantor for the displaced to enter to Baghdad and other areas.
A parliamentary source said in interview for IraqiNews.com, “Parliament voted on a number of recommendations on the security situation in Anbar, including sending Iraqi security forces to maintain support of the troops stationed there and to increase air strikes by the Iraqi air force, as well as arming tribal fighters and al-Hashd al-Sha’bi.”
The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “Parliament also voted to cancel requirements that refugees must have a personal guarantor in order to enter Baghdad and other high security areas, as well as to release money allocated for refugees, amounting to 32 billion dinars allocated for the displaced of 2014, and the formation of crisis cells in the Ministries of Defense, Trade and Immigration for Refugee Housing. “
