    The Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council has said that Moscow will introduce adequate measures in response to the European Union's extension of sanctions, but must take into account the position of countries which oppose these sanctions.

    Dutch Lawmaker in PACE Calls for End to Sanctions Against Russia
    MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow will introduce adequate measures in response to the European Union's extension of sanctions, but must take into account the position of countries which oppose these sanctions, such as Greece and Hungary, Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said Wednesday.
    “Russia will adopt adequate, weighted counter-sanctions. However, it is necessary to take into account the stances of countries such as Greece, Hungary and others, which oppose EU sanctions,” Matvienko told reporters.
