Explosion triggered an improvised explosive device

A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry, said Friday that nine people had been killed and wounded in an improvised explosive device detonated near a popular market, north of Baghdad.
The source said in an interview with (long-Presse) "The bomb exploded this morning, near a waterfall market in the Shaab district, north of Baghdad, which killed two people and wounded seven others were injured."
The source, who asked not to be named, said "ambulances rushed to the scene and transported the injured to a nearby hospital to receive the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department treatment."
The security situation in the capital, Baghdad, have been tense since mid-2013, it announced that the United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI), in (the first of February 2016), killing and injuring 2299 Iraqi acts of violence witnessed different parts of the country during the month of January last , while regretted "strong continuity and high occurrence of the victims and their numbers compared to previous months.
