Mafias targeting oil pipelines to steal crude ones

A security source in Kirkuk province, on Thursday, that the fire broke up after an oil pipeline blown up by an explosive device, northwest of Kirkuk (250 km north of Baghdad), as he emphasized that firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
The source said in an interview with the (long-Presse), said that "an explosive device placed down the pipeline is up near the Mari village in the district of Dibs (40 km north-west of Kirkuk), exploded this morning, resulting in a fire caused by the remaining quantities of oil in the tube ".
The source, who asked not to be named, said: "The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire caused by the explosion."
The area south of Kirkuk and west still under the control of Daash since June 2014.
