Not much fun for me, but......

Just wanted to pop in and post this while I had the time and was thinking about it. Y'all know I have not posted much at all lately, but I still come in here and read what I can when I can.
The biggest reason I haven't been around much since the 1st of the year is because CW got tired of waiting for the state to open jobs back up. They have been frozen forever and the state just doesn't wanna fill them I guess.
Anyway, about the 1st of the year, CW and her brother decided they should open a restaurant together. He would run the business part of it and she would take care of the kitchen part.
CW loves to cook and likes people (unlike me) and this has been kind of a dream come true for her.
The restaurant was a mess! It took over 1 1/2 months of cleaning and stuff just to get it somewhat ready.
They held what they call a "soft opening" a week ago Monday. We live in a town where this is the only place to eat out. So, from Monday til Saturday, it was packed everyday! Kinda surprised me because it was even that way on Wed and Thurs.
Anyway, Then came Saturday, first weekend buffet day planned and the equipment had been pushed so hard all week that it just finally quit. It was old crappy stuff to begin with and really slow.
So they went to Springfield to shop for new stoves, grills, fryers, all that neat stuff. They got what they wanted picked out but the place wants Several hundred $$'s just to deliver it. So Wednesday, her brother is just gonna drive up and get it.
Get this stuff back and hooked up and then the real magic that CW can do will come out. This isn't only her dream, but could very easily be her retirement in a few years.
I know for a fact that she can make this work, but a couple of "good luck's" here and there won't hurt none either!

Well, it was a nice dream for CW while it lasted. The business was doing great..... guess the tax man decided they were making too much money (being the only place in town to eat) and decided to tax them so much that they couldn't afford to pay the employees and the taxes so they had to pull the plug on it last Sunday.
