[ltr]Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Gazprom" Russian monopoly, announced that his company exports to customers in Europe increased by 37.5 percent since the beginning of this year, compared with the same period last year.[/ltr]
[ltr]Miller said that "Gazprom" exports to Germany went up by 44 percent, and to Italy by 42 percent, and in France by 73 percent, and to Austria by 52 percent during the January-February of the current year. "[/ltr]
[ltr]"The last year has also seen increasing the size of the supply of" Gazprom "to European countries, but the size of this increase the total amounted to 11.8 billion cubic meters, at a time when the increase in the first two months exceeded from 20.1675 trillion cubic meters."[/ltr]
[ltr]And he restored the company's chairman recalled that "Gazprom" raised its exports by 8 percent until 159.4 billion cubic meters in total in the past year as a whole, hoping to exceed this level in the current year, due to the increasing need for European countries to the Russian gas.[/ltr]
[ltr]He stressed that "this strategic factor makes it justifiable in terms of financial profitability laying new pipelines or additional to transport Russian gas through the Baltic and Black Sea toward the bottom of the North Western and Southern Europe." End quote 29/4 e[/ltr]
