Carly Fiorina appeared on The Kelly File Wednesday night to defend Ted Cruz's decision to name her as his running mate, despite the fact that he is well behind Donald Trump in delegates.
"Donald Trump hasn't won this nomination yet," Fiorina said. She argued that the race is "about the soul of our party and the future of our nation," and called Trump and Hillary Clinton "virtually indistinguishable in their positions, indistinguishable in the fact they have always been insiders to this corrupt system of crony capitalism and selling access and influence."

Fiorina said she is confident that Cruz will be the nominee, prompting host Megyn Kelly to ask her how that will happen without the Republican Party coalescing behind him. "The party is unifying behind Cruz," she responded.
"If you look at the endorsements he has received, I think there will be more endorsements coming." A "majority of Republican voters don't want Donald Trump to win," she continued, and by teaming up with Cruz, the pair offer voters the chance to elect "proven conservatives and proven fighters." Kelly also asked Fiorina if she wanted to take back any of the harsh words she had for Cruz when she was still in the race, but she declined, instead saying Cruz is a man who "believes what he says" and has "consistent values."
