Kurdish troops in massive Mosul assault!
AT LEAST 100 crazed Islamic State jihadis have been obliterated by Kurdish fighters in its fight to topple the depraved death cultFighters for the Kurdish Peshmerga slaughtered scores of the bloodthirsty fighters as they launched a major operation to take out several key ISIS strategic positions near Mosul.
The 5,500-strong Kurdish army was supported by US and coalition air power from its Khazir base, 27 miles from the city.
The assault has been billed as a significant victory against the fanatics – but has cost Kurdish forces four men and left 34 injured.
Head of Peshmerga in Khazir, Arif Tayfur, said: “The plan was to regain nine villages from Daesh and I can say that we have been successful.
“We took five villages from ISIS yesterday and this morning we re-launched the operation and captured two villages on one side of the river, and we have just recaptured the other two villages.
