Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC announced on Saturday that oil prices have risen 80% compared with prices in December 2015, as pointed out that investment in the oil industry is still very low.

The organization said in a statement seen by the agency of our economy News, "The price of crude oil rose more than 80% compared to oil prices in December 2015," noting that "this shows that the market is moving through a balancing act between supply and demand."
The organization added that the "non-OPEC supply peaked during 2015," unexpected "decline to more than 740 thousand barrels per day in 2016".

Organization "high growth global oil demand forecast by 1.2 million barrels per day, but that demand remains dependent for the challenges of economic developments in the world," asking for "coordination between the members of the organization and with the producers outside OPEC to ensure market stability in the global oil market."

The organization explained that "investment in the oil industry is still very low," stressing the need to "increase investment in order to achieve a long-term balance in the oil market."
