A security source in Kirkuk province, said on Wednesday that a joint security force arrested eight members of the organization (Daash) during a security operation carried out in the east of Kirkuk (250 km north of Baghdad), and as he emphasized that the detainees were planning to carry out "terrorist" attacks during the days of Eid in the province, he pointed to adjust the explosives and suicide vests in their possession.
The source said in an interview with (long-Presse), "The joint security force of the Kirkuk police and the brave able, this morning, of the eight members of the organization arrested (Daash) in one of the structures during a security operation carried out in Banja Ali neighborhood, east of Kirkuk," noting that "the force seized possession type wheel Korla taxi and two motorcycles and suicide vests and Gueninta gas and a number of hand grenades and a pistol Glock."
The source, who asked not to be named, said: "The gunmen were planning to carry out terrorist attacks in a number of areas of Kirkuk province during Eid al-Fitr," adding that "the arrest was made in accordance with the accurate intelligence."
