A Spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Tourism Authority rare Roustaa, Saturday, That the provinces of the region received more than 108 thousand tourists from -central and southern Governorates During the Eid al-Fitr, adding That the number of tourists scored a remarkable Increase as compared to the same period last year.
He , Roustaa in an interview with Alsumaria's News, "The Kurdistan region received more than 108 thousand tourists from - central and southern Iraq During the Eid al-Fitr," Noting That "the number of tourists visiting the Kurdistan During Eid al-Fitr in the : past year amounted to 30 thousand people. " .
He Roustaa, that "the Tourism Authority of the region and developed a plan to attract tourists during the Eid al-Fitr has been provided necessary to enter the tourism companies to open facilities and private offices at checkpoints to receive tourists, as well as reduced prices of hotels and restaurants. " 
The Tourism Authority of Kurdistan region announced (July 7, 2016), that more than 80 tourism companies brought tourists from central and southern areas of Iraq, stressing that the tourism sector has witnessed a remarkable recovery in the first day of Eid al-Fitr coming of those delegations.
Tourism sector in The the Kurdistan region has seen During the recent period, a Significant term decline due to the war Against al " Daash " and the financial crisis Afflicting the region.
