Signed by the Minister of Interior and Peshmerga agency in the Kurdistan Regional Government, cream Chenkali, on Tuesday, with US Assistant Secretary of Defense, Elissa Slotkin, military cooperation protocol in the presence of the President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani.
The Mstadr informed that "the protocol stipulates that Washington provide political, military and financial aid to the Peshmerga forces, until the end of the war with al Daash."
Officials confirmed in the Kurdistan region, said this is the first time that it is signing an agreement of this kind officially.
The head of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, has received on Monday a phone call from US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, in which he stressed "over his country's commitment to continuously support for the forces Peshmerga Kurdistan, expressed his pleasure at the level of cooperation and coordination between the Peshmerga and Iraqi forces."
