US force helps building bridge to regain Mosul city

This is the first time that a US force accompanies the Iraqi military units near the front lines since the statement of US Defence Secretary Ashton Carte that he will permit such moves.
Earlier, the US advisors worked far away from battle zones.
The bridge was constructed near Qayara air base, which was, lately, regained from Da'ish control.
This bridge is expected to facilitate maneuvering operations and minimizing supply routes for the Iraqi security forces in the final preparations to regain Mosul city.
The US units used to have joint cooperation with the Kurdish Peshmarga forces, but this is the first mission with the Iraqi forces.
This was the second bridge that was erected by the Iraqi government where the first one was in Ramadi region in 2015.
