A Pentagon official said that the organization has become Daash on the cusp of defeat, after democratic Syria militias gained control of the bulk of the city Manbej in the countryside north of Aleppo, after battles lasting more than two months.
Quoted "AFP" the deputy spokesman for the Pentagon's media spokesman, Gordon Troberidg that "despite continued fighting in Manbej, the organization became Daash on the verge of defeat clearly, I've lost middle of Manbej, and lost control" of the city.
Daash Friday and kidnapped about two thousand civilians during their withdrawal from another jeep in which they were holed up inside the Syrian city, according to reports from Syria democratic forces and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
In this context, Trowbridge, said US officials are aware of the reports, but are not able to confirm it.
He added that the organization Daash "consistently demonstrated his willingness to endanger the lives of innocent people at risk, in flagrant violation not only of the laws of armed conflict, but the ethics of human behavior."
