Seahawks “Sit In” For Muslim Respect On 9/11, Calling Themselves Heroes - CHOOSE WHO YOU ROOT FOR CAREFULLY

Courage Displayed On The Left, Not The Right
Sunday is the fifteenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks where a group of al Qaeda jihadi’s hijacked planes and ran them into the World Trade Center and killed nearly 3,000 people. The act of terrorism was the worst this country has ever experience domestically and it has reshaped this country going forward in many ways.
Three weeks ago, Colin Kaepernick began his quest to disrespect our flag, country, and national anthem and he continues to take a knee during it. To add fuel to that fire, U.S. women’s soccer player, Megan Rapinoe, a gay white woman, took a knee in support of Kaepernick during the national anthem before her Seattle Reign played last Sunday. Prior to the Reign’s next game, on Wednesday night, the host Washington Spirit franchise played the anthem before players had taken the field, to block all efforts by Rapinoe to act disrespectful and ungrateful.
As stated, Sunday is the fifteenth anniversary of 9/11, and now we have word that the Seattle Seahawks, and NFL football team, are planning a large-scale protest that day. While we do not know exactly what they will do, we do know that if they protest the national anthem, it will speak volumes about their character and if they have any respect for the men and women that serve this country.
Why Do They Think Taking A Knee Is More Impactful Than Actually Donating To Help The “Oppression” They Claim?
Seahawk linebacker Bobby Wagner dropped a hint this week there could be more to come — and from more Seattle players, not just Lane.
“Anything we want to do, it’s not going to be individual,” Wagner told The Seattle Times on Wednesday. “It’s going to be a team thing. That’s what the world needs to see. The world needs to see people coming together versus being individuals.”
Wagner added that “whatever we decide to do will be a big surprise.”
Wide receiver Doug Baldwin told the Times the Seattle “locker room has discussed” doing something together. Baldwin said he was among those considering a gesture in support of Kaepernick’s cause, but “I want to make sure I get all of my ducks in a row before I do so.’’
Be Careful Which Side Of History You Choose To Stand On, We Won’t Forget
Baldwin, the Seahawks receiver, told The Seattle Times that Sunday’s date was fitting for a silent, respectful protest.
“I think that anybody should be thinking about that,” Baldwin said. “Even if it wasn’t Sept. 11 the point of the protest is to get people to think. I think it’s very ironic to me that 15 years ago on Sept. 11 was one of the most devastating times in U.S .history and after that day we were probably the most unified that we have ever been. And today we struggle to see the unity.”
Isn’t it odd that they are arguing we were unified 2001 and not today in 2016? Maybe that is because Obama has spent the last eight years driving a wedge between all races. And while Obama promotes Black Lives Matter over our police officers, he is the one dividing this country very badly. Hillary Clinton has done a great job helping Obama do this, as well.
Liberal media outlets are praising those that refuse to stand for the national anthem, and that just illuminates the problem with this country under Obama. How many shares can we get to thank the veteran sleeping under a bridge right now? Or to thank the veteran that jumped on a grenade to save his squadron? That is what should be honored, not disrespectful NFL players that makes millions of dollars a year and cry about oppression.
Time To Elect A president That Loves This Country, Share If You Agree
So while Kaepernick and many others are deciding whether or not to stand for the national anthem, they should actually address the real problem. Hillary Clinton will be Obama 2.0, and she will fail minorities just like Obama has since 2008. So these NFL players should use their platform to support Donald Trump, the only candidate actually reaching out to minority communities to offer a solution to help their lives. Hillary is no where to be found on this issue.
The issue is respect. Not standing up during the national anthem is ones right, but it also shows how ungrateful one is towards a country that affords them every right they could imagine. Arising from our seats and even putting our hands over our hearts is a deeply embedded patriotic ritual by means of which we honor the founding ideals that still instruct us, a remarkable history that has worn down so much evil, our fellow countrymen and the godly landscape that surrounds us.
Maybe you don’t like the music. Maybe you think the words overly militaristic. None of that excuses disrespect because everyone knows the national anthem and the flag we look at are symbols of what makes this country the greatest.
That colored piece of cloth is not just a piece of cloth anymore than a $100 bill is just a piece of paper. The hopes and dreams behind that piece of cloth have bought us liberty. They have delivered us our rights. They have opened up new possibilities in life.
Question is: what will you stand for? Will you stand up and take this election back for the people, or will you sit down and refuse to fight? Time will tell.
