Reached US Vice Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken, on Thursday, to the city of Arbil from the capital, Baghdad, to meet with the President of the Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani and discuss developments in the political and security situation, especially the city of Mosul liberation from the control of the organization (Daesh).
A source said in an interview to the (long-Presse), said that "the US Vice Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken arrived this morning, to Arbil airport from the capital Baghdad," noting that "he was received by a number of officials in the government of the Kurdistan region."
The source, who asked not to be named, said that "Blinken will hold a meeting with the region's president, Massoud Barzani, to discuss a number of political and security files, notably the liberation of the city of Mosul, the control of the organization (Daesh)."
The Deputy Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, arrived on Wednesday, (September 14 2016), to Baghdad on an official visit during which he met with key Cabinet and parliament Haider Abadi Saleem al-Jubouri and a number of political leaders.
