Independent Electoral Commission sent a request to the House of Representatives, about making the province of Kirkuk elections.
The deputy chairman of the Board of Commissioners Kata Zubai "We have sent a request to Parliament on Kirkuk elections," noting that "Kirkuk elections require a decision of the House of Representatives because the province has a special and excluded by the Constitution of the previous provincial election case."
"We are awaiting a decision from a special parliament Kirkuk," he said, "we have no objection to conduct any election, and we are an executive for the application of the law, but any electoral process needs 180 days [six months] to conduct any election event."
He Zubai "If we book for elections of Kirkuk, we will study the request and we answer it."
"The elections can not integrate the fact that the Commission cut more than 45% of the provincial council agenda and to merge the technical impossibility."
It is said that he has not been in the province of Kirkuk since 2005, any of the provincial councils of local elections as one of the most disputed areas between Baghdad and the Kurdistan region.
