[size=13]School managers declare ten-day strike in Halabja[/size]
Halabja: The majority of managers of schools in the Halabja Governorate declared a ten-day-long strike on Wednesday in protest of salary delays and the high percentage cut to their salaries in Iraqi Kurdistan. 100 school managers out of 136 in the Halabja Governorate declared in an announcement a strike beginning on October 1 and lasting until October 10. The managers threatened to take further action if their demands were not met. Managers of schools demanded changes to the withholding of salaries, which were instituted as part of austerity measures taken by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to cope with the economic slump. School managers on strike have given the KRG 30 days to come up with a solution and provide their overdue salaries.
[size=13]Two Kurds suspected of ties to IS go on trial in UK[/size]
London: The trial of two Kurds suspected of ties with the Islamic State (IS) and accused of planning to carry out terrorist attacks in British cities will start in a London court on Friday. Four persons are accused of planning to carry out bombings in British cities; among them are two Kurds from the Kurdistan Region. They are 27 and 38 years old, Rudaw’ reported. On August 26, UK anti-terror forces in Birmingham and Stoke arrested five persons that the police allege planned to carry out attacks in UK cities. In searches of their houses, British police obtained some documents that are believed to have been sent by IS to the accused, discussing plans for carrying out bombings.

Sulaimani: On 28 September KOARP, Veterinary directorate and General Health directorate/directorate of Prevention, in Vet. conference hall celebrated the WRD, Dr.Dyar T.from Vet.directorate president a presentation about rule of government to control the disease, Dr.Sagvan H. from Health Directorate presented a presentation about Rabies disease and Dr.Sulaiman T. from KOARP presented a presentation about legislation, identification,spay and neuter, vaccination and adoption of stray animals(doggies and cats) and Education and awareness of citizen . many people from all sectors of government attended the celebration day like mayoralty, municipality, police and district and sub district representative and administration.
