Twilight News / Bank "Franspk" Lebanese intends to expand its activities in the Kurdistan region of Iraq despite the difficult economic conditions experienced by the region due to the war on Daesh and falling oil prices expenses.
And arrived in Irbil Adnan Kassar the bank's chairman, a former minister in the Lebanese government, the head of a delegation of Lebanese businessmen to attend the occasion fifty years after the founding of commercial and industrial chambers in Iraqi Kurdistan, and took Fransabank this opportunity to celebrate two years to open a branch in Arbil .
FranceBank banking group founded in 1921 and occupies an important position in Lebanon are among the four major banks and occupies the first scattered site in ten countries.
Kassar said in a speech during the celebration ceremony that "Fransabank Group believes that the future will be in Iraq and the Kurdistan region prosperous."
He also added, "We always have plans in the banking expansion in Iraq and believe that the future is promising Ram difficulties experienced by Iraq in the current period, due to the many bounties enjoyed by the country."
Kassar and predicted that "Iraq's economy is witnessing in general and Kurdistan in particular, rapid growth and to be one of the fastest economies in the region over the next few years."
In turn, Nicolas Abboud, regional director of the bank in Iraq, said that "Lebanon has suffered for thirty years. However the Lebanese banking sector has achieved a great success and was a pillar of the Lebanese economy. "
He added, "In Iraq, there is a problem all over the world know that a deposit of capital in the Central Bank can not be driven, but our economic policies for Iraq and the region and we expect confidence to address this problem in a calm and rational."
And expansion plans, he said, "We are staying in Kurdistan and Iraq, and we will expand and we have plans to open branches in each of Dohuk and Sulaymaniyah."
Abboud and explained that "the objective of this expansion in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region is to develop banking services and banking sector in the region and work to give confidence to customers, for being with a solid base in the field of business and finance and those with high and reliable worldwide reputation."
He stressed saying that "Fransabank mother in Lebanon ensures the bank's branches in Kurdistan and Iraq, as proof that in spite of the economic crisis through which Iraq was not affected by the bank in the region and continue its work and plans to expand to give more confidence to its customers."
The ceremony was attended celebrations marking two years to establish Arbil branch of Fransabank number of ministers and officials in the Kurdistan Regional Government and many of the businessmen and the banking sector in Arbil.
