Iraq suspends the Convention on the joint management of goods

Announced the National Authority of Customs Director Kazim Ali Abdullah, on Monday, Iraq told the Arab countries to suspend work Convention co-management for the goods that pass through its territory from the Arab countries, starting from the beginning of the month of November, and the inclusion of such goods tariffs applicable in the whole law Iraq.
Official newspaper "Sabah" and quoted Abdullah as saying that "Iraq and during his participation in the Arab Customs Conference participating Arab countries told that he does not benefit from the Arab joint management agreement because of the situation experienced by the country," noting that "Iraq is under considerable bleeding Mali told conferences to suspend this agreement as of 11.01.2016. "
He added that "the Commission will draw all cargo arriving to the ports regardless of their origin and thus will pay the tariff on all goods."
He said Abdullah that "this move is a major achievement of its own to Iraq of significant financial returns as well as to contribute to the eradication of the phenomenon of corruption that tainted the process by falsifying documents for goods overseas and recorded on the basis of it's coming from one of the Arab countries to coverage of the Convention on the co-management, which guarantees her exemption of customs.
