Twilight News Turkish army / said on Monday that security forces killed 417 fighters Cordillera since late August, a day after 18 people were killed in a truck bomb attack on an army checkpoint southeast Turkey.
The bombing was one of the bloodiest attacks that have occurred recently in the area near the border with Iraq and Iran, where most of the fighting taking place in the conflict with the PKK.
The army said in a statement that its operations have limited the ability of the PKK to launch attacks and foiled preparations for an escalation of fighting in the winter, which led him to focus on attacks with improvised explosive devices and suicide bombings targeting civilians.
During security raids, which the army described as "the most effective and comprehensive in recent years" killed 417 fighters from the Kurdistan Workers' Party, and wounded 61 others surrendered 41 and 18 were arrested since 29 August.
The army said that 88 members of the Turkish security forces were killed and 152 others wounded in the same period.
He said the military "operations will continue with the same determination to neutralize while another terrorist element."
