Washington -arac Press October -14: State Department announced that Washington does not support the involvement of elements of the "PKK" PKK operations in the liberation of Mosul innorthern Iraq to organize "Daesh."
This came in a statement to the spokesman for theUS State Department, Mark Toner, in a press brief held on Thursday evening in Washington.
Asked by reporters about Washington 's position onthe involvement of the Labour Party in Mosul operations, Toner said, "We frankly see the elements of the PKK terrorist organization , so you will not support them."
He added that the United States "looks at the" PKK elements of "foreign terrorist organization and we support Turkey 's efforts to protect its citizens from the" persistent PKK attacks. ""
Toner refused to disclose his country 's position in the event of the Baghdad government has allowed the PKK to participate in military operations in Mosul.
This comes amid mounting tensions between Baghdad and Ankara on the back of government - Abadi demanding the departureof the Turkish troops from Camp Ba'shiqah near Mosul.
In this context , Toner said, "We call on both the Turkish and Iraqi governments to focus on a common enemy here Daesh."
