[rtl]Mad dog officially nominated to take over the leadership of the Pentagon[/rtl]

    [rtl]BAGHDAD / Sky Press:[/rtl]

[rtl]US President-elect nominated Donald Trump, Wednesday, officially retired Gen. James Mattis, "mad dog" for the post of Secretary of Defense (Pentagon).[/rtl]

[rtl]He said Trump during a speech in the state of North Carolina, said, "It is for the success of our military strategy we need the right man who will head the US Department of Defense, and so I am pleased to announce my intention to nominate Gen. James Mattis to take over the post of defense minister."[/rtl]

[rtl]He described Trump General Mattis as "one of the most effective over many decades of American generals."[/rtl]

[rtl]It is noteworthy that James Mattis of the 66-year-old, retired from his post as head of US Central Command, which he took in the period between 2010 and 2013, after having served more than 40 years in the United States Marine Corps.[/rtl]

[rtl]Matisse took part in the 1991 Gulf War, and later joined the US military operation in Afghanistan, and also led the US squad in Iraq after 2003.[/rtl]

[rtl]Mathis received during the years of his service in the US armed forces, the title of "mad dog" mentioned by Trump in one of his speeches.[/rtl]

[rtl]After retirement Matisse worked in a number of non-governmental organizations active in the affairs of the armed forces.[/rtl]

[rtl]It should be noted that Donald Trump will enter the White House on January 20, where he will present later on congressional candidates to take up ministerial posts, in order to ratify the appointment.[/rtl]

[rtl]Recall that under US law, it is not entitled to a military take over as defense minister until after the passage of not less than 7 years of leaving the service of the army, so they will need Gen. James Mattis, who retired in 2013 to additional congressional approval to head the Pentagon.[/rtl]
