    aghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Agriculture announced that Iraq will achieve the self-sufficiency soon after the Ministry managed to boost the local production of vegetables and fruits which emulate the imported products.

    [ltr]A statement by the Ministry reported “The Iraqi markets witnessed remarkable salability in the shopping for the local products of vegetables and fruits and meats which coincides with the holy month of Ramadan where the local products of plant and animal products filled the markets, unlike the past years.” [/ltr]

    [ltr]The MoA succeeded to reach to the self-sufficiency this year and stop the importation of the vegetables and fruits,” according to the statement. [/ltr]

    [ltr]“The Ministry of Agriculture had imported the seeds of the crops and sold them to the farmers to produce fruits and vegetables similar to the imported products,” the statement concluded. [/ltr]
