Twilight News / Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Monday that the Iraqi government is seeking to open new outlets with neighboring countries, including Jordan.
Abadi interview came at a news briefing with his Jordanian counterpart Hani Mulki, who is currently visiting Baghdad after a meeting of the two sides.
Ebadi said, that "we encourage the promotion of trade with Jordan, and strive to open outlets border between Iraq and its neighboring countries," stressing the need to restore "life" to port "Trebil" the border with Jordan.
He revealed that he "will soon be an agreement to extend the transportation of oil from Iraq to the Jordanian territory through the tube line."
For his part, Mulki said, "Iraq is a strategic depth for Jordan and we are keen on security and stability," stressing his country's support for the war waged by Iraq against al-terrorism.
