The Foreign Relations Commission disclosed the possibility of "halting granting visas for the American, on reciprocal basis", as reported by member Rinas Jano.
It is expected that a message shall be sent to the US administration in this regard.
MP Jano pointed that the US State Department did not grant visas to Iraqis for the last year, "so Iraq will do the same".
US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to temporarily stop the immigration to the United States.
According to the order, President Trump is planning not granting visas for people coming from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
Last year, the US administration accepted more than 84.000 immigrants, including 12.000 from Syria.
