" 
    It also demanded Human Rights Commission , "the House of Representatives legislation deterrent laws to curb this dangerous phenomenon which has become a source of great danger to the lives and security of citizens and the rest either in towns, villages and rural areas to the proliferation of unlicensed weapons significantly." 
    The statement pointed out that " the Commission calls for the provinces and the security services councils in all its different forms need to take urgent legal action to prevent this dangerous phenomenon , " calling for "civil society organizations and the media to the implementation of awareness and educational programs warning of the phenomenon of gunfire and the threat to the lives of citizens." 
    It is said that Iraqi law provides , in one of its paragraphs of Article 570 for 1982 to be punished by imprisonment for not less than one year nor more than three years, both fired shots at public events or private within cities, villages and towns without being metaphorically so by a competent authority.
