Shafaq News / Three boys were killed on Wednesday in an explosion that targeted a swimming pool in Diyala province, a local official said.
“A bomb exploded near a river for swimming in Soele village, about 6 km western Wajihiya sub-district targeting boys who were swimming there,” The head of Wajihiya sub-district , Wees Zaidan al-Tamimi told “Shafaq News”.
He said the explosion left 3 dead boys and 4 wounded.
He stressed that the security services and the local administrative opened an investigation into the causes and circumstances of the incident.
The high heat of summer obliges boys and young people in Diyala province to swim in rivers and agriculture streams.
Targeting rivers of swimming is considered the first incident of its kind after armed attacks hit all the amenities of life in Diyala , houses of worship, stadiums and cafes.
The armed attacks caused during the current year in Diyala , the fall of more than 500 people some were killed and others were injured .
