    [ltr]We discussed the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in cooperation with the committees of culture and information, legal and civil society institutions, the parliamentary proposal to the Fourth Amendment to the law the union No. 178 of 1969 average.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Participants expressed the hearing a number of opinions and observations about enabling journalists to perform their mission and the practice of journalism necessary to do them freedom within the framework of professional responsibility and in accordance with the provisions of the law.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Emphasis was placed on the need to access and organize meaningful to the press in line with the important in raising awareness of their role and the need to practice freely and to raise the cultural, social and professional level of journalists and enable them to perform their role and press their message and to ensure their rights and to enable the union of the advancement of the press and upgrading and maintaining their dignity and ensure their rights and defend their interests and service workers Press and media.[/ltr]
    [ltr]It came proposals for the purpose of modifying some of which included the journalists from the provisions of the law and to make them consistent with the new and responsive legal system to the requirements of modernity and aspirations of journalists and to organize administrative and legal conditions in accordance with the contents of the press and the organization in the Arab and international trade union work.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The hearing was attended by a number of heads and members of the committees of culture, media and legal institutions of civil society and parliamentary head of the Iraqi journalists and pro-Lami, a gathering of heads of news organizations session.[/ltr]
